Texture & Tease
Today, scrolling through my phone to clear out space, I digitally “paged” through hundreds of hardly-tended words. I’m guilty of day dreams and jotting down my thoughts to ruminate on (or forget about until next I take out the virtual trash) and have found my phone Notes vary wildly. Grocery lists and erotica, spur of the moment poetry and thoughts that I wanted to formulate properly before sending to a friend, little translated sayings from languages I barely know — it’s all there. Among them, I found this note from a day-dream heavy February afternoon in between travel. Sleep clouding my motivation, I found myself laying languidly in bed writing a list of my favorite tactile delights. Rereading it made me miss normalcy, but it also lit a fire for the cravings that I can satisfy myself, and left me fantasizing about what I’d do (and who I’d do it with) when traveling and dates become safer.
I’ll let you in on a few of my favorites:
Touching anything damp, mushy, or messy through nitrile gloves. Cake, flesh, or otherwise.
Rubbing silicone lube onto latex-clad hips. Slick rubber sliding under your fingers.
Gold-leaf flecked caviar melting in your mouth.
Bubble baths just cool enough for you to sink into, still hot enough that they make you sweat. Parting the bubbles to see your thighs.
Rubbing freshly shaved legs together under fresh sheets. (Like a sexy, quiet cricket. I may be hot, but if you’re new here, please also know that I am also… weird.)
Drier-fresh towels on freshly rinsed skin.
A warm, genuine hug from someone that you like very much.
Cold glass in your waiting hands.
Feeling someone smile against your mouth mid-kiss.
Cracking creme brûlée with a slender, lightly gripped spoon.
I hope you’re finding delight during these dark times, taking care of each other, and fueling day dreams of what’s to come.
Xo!
